"The property more than met our expectations. It was very comfortable and had a lovely view of the sea. It has a gorgeous conservatory area, which was great for lying about on the sofa reading books! "This hotel is amazing. We were there out of the tourist season which was perfect. The unit has a nice kitchen so that we could self cater. We tried to get to the buffet on the first day, but it was incredibly crowded, most likely with a tour group arriving at the same time. Instead we did some shopping at the spar shop in Benicarlo nearby. Dolores was especially helpful in showing us the way into the parking garage. "

"We loved the house. And although we went over to Peñiscola (& loved it), we also loved the seas side town of Alcossebre. Rob’s house is at the top of a hill and you can see for miles. We didn’t use the pool, but it would be great for the grandkids. It was definitely a great vacation."

"The house is clean, well maintained and very spacious for our 5 adults who stayed. The complex is safe, very well maintained and the pool area is very nice. It is in a quieter part of town so be prepared for a walk to the restaurants but we didn't mind it and, at the end of the evening, a 20 minute walk helped to walk off the delicious tapas! Antonio was a very polite and responsive host and made the experience of booking his property very easy."

"A good place to stay though a car is needed as it is near the top of a hill. The house was warm & well equipped. While we were there it was sometimes very windy. We may have just been unlucky. Communication with the caretaker was difficult. He spoke no English & our Spanish & German was limited. We enjoyed Peniscola, its beaches, coves & castle."

"Positives - Oropesa is very wheelchair accessible with wide pavements and plentiful dropped kerbs. Negatives - Property was wholly misrepresented as being wheelchair accessible - it isn't. Apart from steps at the front door and on to the terrace, the rooms are far too small to get a wheelchair around. As an example, the only clear floor space in the bathroom was directly in front of the handbasin, less than a square metre, and my smaller than average chair wouldn't go through the narrow door...

"They are owned by Romanians with respective design choices - very cheap furnishings, hanging cables, unclean halls. Guard dogs take the ground floor and roam under the balconies gazing at the guests with funny looks. Food is very limited, overpriced, and extremely salty.
