After a scenic drive through the park, we start our hike near Samara Volcano, one of the most scenic and less-crowded spots in the area. The trail begins with a short ascent to the volcano’s summit, offering sweeping 360° views of Mount Teide and the vast Atlantic Ocean. From here, the world unfolds in layers of lava, volcanic cones, and drifting clouds — an unforgettable sight. We then continue along a circular route (5 km, 220 m elevation gain) winding through frozen lava rivers and rugged volcanic terrain. You’ll witness where fiery lava once flowed, creating mesmerising formations and walls of black rock. Along the way, we’ll make multiple photo stops to capture Martian-like landscapes.
