Verona: Amarone Wine Tasting Tour in Valpolicella

Since 1933, the famous winery you will visit has told the story of men and women devoted to the crafting of quality wines: the finest, sincerest expression of a region home to more than 700 hectares of vineyards. The initial visit begins outside the entrance of the Cantina: surrounded by the hills of Valpolicella, within the village boundaries of Negrar. You will than proceed to the great hall where the selected and ripest grapes are left to dry. Meander through the museum, where the various stages of “Appassimento” can be admired.

Then head back down the stairs where the old traditional cellars have been extended with modern buildings to house a range of precious wooden barrels. Then proceed into the Caveau dei Cru to admire the old vintage bottles, including that of the oldest Amarone.

Move on to the prestigious Bottaia d’Autore which then leads to the tasting hall and eventually, to the adjoining Enoteca. Wine is accompanied by locally made grissini, bread and Extra Virgin Veneto Olive Oil Valpolicella DOP produced by Cantina Valpolicella Negrar.
