Description

Transport yourself back in time with a visit to the Titanic Belfast experience, where you can wander through 9 interactive galleries, walk the decks of the last remaining White Star vessel, the SS Nomadic, and tread across the historic slipways where this iconic ship was built.

As you arrive outside Titanic Belfast, revel in the splendid sight of this modern architectural wonder. The large blocky geometrical shapes that make up the building’s facade catch the sunshine on their silver surfaces as you approach. The visitor attraction is a landmark to commemorate the area’s maritime heritage. The building sits on the former Harland & Wolff shipyard, which is the exact site where the RMS Titanic was built.

Walk inside and embark on a self-guided tour of the building’s 6 floors that offer 9 interpretive and interactive galleries that showcase the sights, sounds, and stories of Titanic’s short history. After navigating through the Titanic Experience and learning about the people who lost their lives on this ill-fated ship, head outside to explore the Harland and Wolff Drawing Offices, the Titanic Slipways, and Hamilton Graving Dock, the locations where the Titanic was designed, built, and launched in 1912.

Depending on the route you choose, your final stop may be the SS Nomadic, the last remaining White Star Line ship, which is considered to be the largest remaining Titanic artefact. Walk across the decks of this vessel, which was used as the tender ship for first- and second-class passengers coming onboard the Titanic at Cherbourg. Visiting the SS Nomadic allows you to see the many similarities it has to the Titanic, as it was also designed by Thomas Andrews.

Whether you are an avid Titanic history buff, or have only seen the famous film, exploring Titanic Belfast is sure to be an experience you never forget.
