What you can expect

Visit Stingray City and snorkel with some new friends amongst the coral reef and blue Caribbean waters. Don't be fooled by their name—stingrays are friendly and graceful creatures.

Your day starts with a briefing on equipment and safety before boating out to Stingray City near the quaint fishing village of Seatons. Disembark from your boat and step onto the floating platform to survey the calm, crystal-clear waters around you. Your guide issues snorkel equipment and offers a quick instructional briefing before beginning the swim. Easing into the warm ocean isn't hard—it only reaches about 4 feet (1.2 m) in depth.

Your guide coaxes the people-friendly rays up to the surface so you can reach out and feel their skin or snap a photograph. If you're feeling brave, feed the rays squid with help from your guide—the stingrays lack teeth and will ingest the squid via suction. In addition to rays, you may also see crabs, lobster, shellfish, and starfish.

Return to home base for refreshing rum or fruit punch while browsing through photos of your adventure.
