Description

Experience an unforgettable sunset at Uluru, one of Australia's most iconic sites. See the majestic monolith up close, discover Kantju Gorge and the Mutitjulu waterhole, and enjoy uninterrupted views of Uluru and Kata Tjuta from the Talinguru Nyakunytjaku dune viewing area away from the crowds.

After an afternoon pick-up from Ayers Rock Resort, head to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. As you travel around the base immerse in the area. Enjoy a short walk to the Mutitjulu waterhole, an ancient watercourse nestled into the contours of Uluru. From your guide, learn the local Aboriginal creation story, which involves Liru (venomous snake) and Kuniya (woma python). Then see the ancient rock art that matches up with the narrative.

As you continue around the base experience the Mala Walk with your guide to the beautiful Kantju Gorge and hear about the Mala people and how they prepared for ceremonies.

Later, witness the sunset from the Talinguru Nyakunytjaku viewing area, accompanied by a glass of sparkling wine and light refreshents. Take time to absorb this remarkable sight away from the crowds and revel in the peace and tranquility of the desert as it goes to sleep.
