Description

Smell the toasted barley in the air and soak up the sense of history as you step into the story of Ireland's most celebrated stout at the Guinness Storehouse. Skip the line and learn about the brewing process, hear about the history of the brewery, and take in a view over Dublin as you sip an ice-cold pint straight from the source.

A 7-storey landmark in the heart of Dublin, the Guinness Storehouse marks the spot where Arthur Guinness himself famously signed the 9,000-year lease on St. James' Gate Brewery all the way back in 1759. Peruse the beer-centric souvenirs on offer inside, then start exploring as you learn about the brewery's founding and the methods used to ship Guinness around the globe.

Check out the archive of award-winning Guinness advertisements on display, and see how this iconic Irish brand has evolved over the last 250 years. Then, cosy up to the bar for a multi-sensory tasting experience that's sure to deepen your appreciation of the perfect pint. Learn the secrets behind the ideal 6-step, 119.5-second pour, and grab a bite of Guinness-flavoured cuisine if you're feeling peckish. Your final stop is the Gravity Bar, where you can admire 360-degree views of the city as you enjoy a well-earned pint of “the black stuff.”

A bit of a far walk from where we were, and most of the taxis don’t take credit cards, FYI. The Storehouse itself is fantastic and having a Guinness in the Gravity Bar was a highlight of the trip!

Skip the line part was pretty pointless as it seemed most people had done similar, which caused a queue. Other than that the tour is great. Would recommend it’s one you have to do.

Saved time and money by getting this in advance on Expedia. It’s one of those “must see” experiences if going to Dublin. A self guided tour, it was very easy to navigate and had a very modern “Willy Wonka” feel to it. Very educational and even hands on if you choose to learn how to pour the perfect pint. Amazing views from the bar on the top floor. Became very crowded very quickly though.
