The adventurous 7-hour desert safari tour will take you to the heart of Dubai’s most popular desert known as ‘Lahbab’. Situated 50 kms from the metropolis, Lahbab is distinctively known for its sleek red colour sand, and its towering dunes provide for a perfect landscape for an adventurous outing. This tour is an ideal blend of thrill and relaxation element which is suitable for adventure seekers, families, couples, and solo travellers.

You will be picked up from your hotel in 4x4 Land Cruiser; the drive to the desert spot takes about 45-50 minutes. Feel free to ask your driver-cum-guide about the history of Dubai, important monuments or simply hold a casual conversation about the height of Burj Khalifa!

After reaching Lahbab, the driver will require around 20 minutes to deflate the tyres – this is a routine procedure to make 4x4 better suited for dune bashing. Meantime, you can opt out for quad bike while you wait for the other convoy to catch-up.

Once ready, enjoy 30-40 minutes of the exhilarating drive as you slip and slide across from one dune to another. After the whirlwind drive, there would be a picture-stop atop the highest dune for 30 minutes – you don’t want to miss this opportunity of snapping Instagram-worthy pictures of a scenic sunset. During the stop, try out sand-boarding – this sport is suitable for all individuals, and it does not require any prior experience.

Later, after the picture stop, head towards our Bedouin-style camp, hidden in the middle of the desert. Be greeted with Qahwa (Arabic coffee), dates and Lugamat (traditional sweet) as you enjoy the numerous activities put together by us such as camel rides, Shisha pipe, Henna tattoo artists, take pictures in traditional Arabic costumes and shop through our souvenir stand to discover unique and exotic stuff for your loved ones back home.

As the night settles in, enjoy a scrumptious BBQ spread of kebabs, hummus and salads accompanied by soft drinks and additional alcoholic drinks (own expense) from the bar. While enjoying your meal, feast your eyes on a colourful belly dancing show followed by Tanura performance.

Finally, after the last show, we will head back to Dubai and proceed to drop you off at your hotel.

  • Tour programme subject to change due to religious or other circumstances; certain activities (mainly Tanoura dance and Belly dancing) and alcoholic drinks will not be available on any Islamic days as per UAE law

  • Falcons may not be available at the camp during hotter months (mainly in July & August)

  • The duration of this activity is approximately 7-hours which includes travel and pick-up time until drop off back to your hotel.

  • Vegetarian options are available on buffet dinner.

Loved the beautiful sand dunes. Our driver seemed crabby at first but then lightened up and took some really good photos of us in the desert and did a good job giving us a thrilling ride in the dunes. We found out hours before our excursion that it was a holiday and it was a dry day - no alcohol or entertainment/ belly dancer. Although the girl providing henna tattoos was accomodating. One us thought the food was terrible, one of us thought the food was fine. The camel ride was only a couple of minutes - like a kid on a pony ride. Our driver took pics w/our phones but they came out tinted green. You need to buy the photo they took or you can edit yours to black and white and it turns out nice.
