What you can expect
Experience majestic England by walking through over 700 years of British history in just one visit with me to glorious Hever Castle, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn - and, later, the home of Anne of Cleves - amongst other dignitaries.
LetLondonBreathe and avoid the city centre's notoriously heavy traffic. - I will collect you by car at Bromley South Station where we will start our tour. We will drive through the scenic English countryside, including quaint villages, for about 45 minutes before arriving at the castle.
Hever Castle boasts a huge span of British history, having witnessed some of Britain's most turbulent events which influenced and changed the country's royal and religious standing forever.
Imagine the families who lived there - from the mediaeval era, through Tudor times and the Astors in the 20th century - their banquets, their conversations and even the jousting.
Join me, a local guide, who can help you transform your imagination into a day you will remember for the rest of your life. I will provide you with a glimpse of the real England I'm so proud and passionate about.
Visit two amazing castles or another historic place on the same day: I have hosted others by visiting Hever Castle with Chartwell or Leeds Castle too! (See separate listings). Contact me and I’ll send you a suggested itinerary.
There is also the option of visiting the quaint village of Chiddingstone for English tea. The village is so precious it's managed by The National Trust. Or perhaps you prefer a pub lunch. (See photos and please enquire if you would like to enhance this tour).
N.B. Hever Castle is closed from Thursday 2nd January to Friday 7th February 2020 inclusive.
