What you can expect

Explore historic settlements on Turkey's Mediterranean coast for a look at the region's history with some of the world's great ancient civilisations. Visit structures that date back to the ancient Greeks at the ruins of Perge, Aspendos and Side, and see the natural wonder of Manavgat Waterfall.

Perge, capital of the ancient province of Pamphylia, was by far the largest of the 3 cities, with a history dating back to the Bronze Age. Many foundations from its Roman-era buildings can still be seen today, and some towers are still standing from the Hellenic period. Admire the remains of the agora and Roman baths, as well as the well-preserved amphitheatre and stadium.

Make your way to Aspendos for a look at the best-preserved Roman theatre in Turkey. To this day, the venue is known for its amazing acoustics and is still in use as the venue for the Aspendos International Opera Festival.

At Side, you can see the past and present coexist in the former trading port, set on a stunning peninsula that reaches out into the Mediterranean. Visit the ancient temples, theatre and agora, and walk along colonnaded streets that are still in use today. A few miles inland, you can see the foaming waters of the wide Manavgat Falls before your tour comes to an end.
