What you can expect
Get a local’s perspective on Moscow's most famous sites and storied history, from the Russian Tsars through the Soviet Union to the modern day. With stops at the classic landmarks, paired with detours into the spots only locals know, you can get a true insider's look at the incredible city.
Your tour starts at Pushkinskaya Square, a prime spot for locals to meet and the epicentre of many of Moscow's historical layers. You can see a monument to Pushkin himself, as well as the avant-garde former Soviet newspaper building and the first McDonald's in Russia.
Next, get a taste of local Russian fast food at a popular spot for selling chebureks, deep-fried pastries filled with minced meat or potatoes and cheese. From here, the tour takes you for a visit to Eliseevsky, a supermarket famous for its luxurious, neo-Baroque interiors.
Continue walking along Tverskaya Street, past some of Moscow's main landmarks, and learn a bit about Russian theatre. Check out an amazing, gigantic piece of ballerina-inspired graffiti art and visit a Russian Orthodox church, where you may light a candle and listen to some beautiful choir songs while your guide shares a few personal stories.
You can find a moment of peaceful silence in a secret spot in the heart of the metropolis before finishing your tour at Red Square, the famous heart of Moscow. Admire the colourful domes of St. Basil's Cathedral, and then get some tips from your guide on what to do next as your tour comes to an end.
