What you can expect
Spend a day in the paradise of Moreton Island, where you can enjoy one of the most spectacular spots off the Australian coast. Relax on the golden beaches, take to the water for some incredible views on a transparent kayak or paddleboard, or ride a toboggan down the island's dunes.
A cruise across the magnificent Moreton Bay on the MiCat Ferry brings you to the island, relax and sunbathe on the beach, or enjoy a fully guided snorkelling tour. For non-swimmers, hold on to the floating device attached to the jet-ski, the guide will take you out to look for turtles, dolphins, coral, and thousands of beautiful reef fish around the wrecks.
After a freshly prepared Aussie-style lunch, follow your guide out in a transparent kayak to see the hidden underwater wonders of the Tangalooma Wrecks and witness the awesome frenzy of fish feeding under the surface. When it's time to head inland, ride a rugged 4x4 to “The Desert,” an expanse of dunes where you can feel the exhilaration of sand tobogganing at speeds faster than 40 miles per hour (70km/h).
When you return to Tangalooma Beach, you have plenty of time to swim in the crystal-clear waters while you wait for the ferry and a beautiful cruise back to Brisbane.
PLEASE NOTE: Additional Local Fees (National Park ticket & return boat ticket) AU50 per adult and AU35 per child (4-13yo) to be paid in cash upon departure (credit card facility available; card transaction may incur surcharge)
