Activity itinerary

Seville

  • 1h
Stay with all the customers in the triumph square in front of the lion gate that gives access to the Real Alcázar to start the visit of the Majestic Royal Alcázar of Seville The visit to the Royal Alcazars of Seville, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987, begins at the Puerta del León, the main entrance since the 12th century. The tour leads to the Courtyard of the Maidens, a Mudéjar jewel ordered built by Peter I in 1364, and the Ambassadorial Hall, where in 1526 the wedding of Emperor Charles V to Elizabeth of Portugal was celebrated. After touring the Gothic halls of the 15th century, you reach the Royal Gardens, expanded in the Renaissance and Baroque, with fountains and galleries that invite you to the walk. The visit concludes in the Mercury Pond, built in 1575, from where you get one of the most iconic views of the whole.

After the visit Del Real Alcázar de Sevilla takes a walk to explore the famous Santa Cruz area with a technical stop in the middle of the visit. A stroll through the Santa Cruz area is to enter a maze of narrow streets and charming squares. From Calle Mateos Gago, overlooking the Giralda, you reach the quiet Plaza de Doña Elvira, surrounded by orange trees. Nearby awaits the Plaza de los Venerables, with its old baroque hospital, and the picturesque Callejon del Agua, next to the Alcázares wall. The tour culminates in Plaza de Santa Cruz and Plaza de los Refinadores, where the statue of Don Juan Tenorio recalls the literary footprint of the area. Among orange blossoms, balconies and hidden patios, Santa Cruz retains the most romantic essence of Seville.

Seville

  • 1h 20m
After the walk through the Santa Cruz area and the descent we begin the visit of the Cathedral of Seville World Heritage Site. The Cathedral of Seville, built between 1401 and 1506 on the ancient Almohad mosque, is one of the largest Gothic temples in the world. Its famous Giralda, former minaret of the 12th century, became a Christian bell tower after the conquest of 1248. In 1507 the impressive Chapel Major was completed, with its monumental Gothic altarpiece. Inside are the remains of Christopher Columbus, the choir saddlery and numerous richly decorated chapels. Declared a World Heritage Site in 1987, the Cathedral remains a symbol of Seville’s history and grandeur.
