Upon arrival, head to Cha Loi Cave—also called Ong Giap Cave or Dai Tuong Cave—in Ngan Thuy commune, Le Thuy district. This historic cave served as a hideout for General Vo Nguyen Giap and Vietnamese soldiers during the war.
Embark on a level 3 adventure challenge, trekking across cassava fields, vast valleys, and swimming in underground rivers with cold, clear water (~22°C). Marvel at the beautiful stalactites, mysterious river caves, and the raw nature of the Truong Son mountains.

Itinerary
Night 1: Hanoi – Dong Hoi
Arrive at Hanoi Railway Station 30 mins to 1 hour before departure.
20:05: JBQ1 train departs to Dong Hoi. Overnight onboard.
Day 2: Explore Cha Loi Cave – Coi Village – Love Valley (Group Tour)
06:10: Arrive at Dong Hoi Station. Enjoy breakfast nearby.
08:00: Pick-up by car and guide. Begin the 2-day adventure to Cha Loi Cave, ~45 km southwest of Dong Hoi.
Stop at the Long Dai Ferry—a key supply route on the Ho Chi Minh Road during the war (1965–1972). Photo stop and briefing.
09:30: Arrive at Sung village. Gear up with equipment (torch, gloves, sandals). Safety and usage briefing from the tour guide.
Begin exploration of Nuoc Cave (Ong Giap Cave) with its historical wartime significance.
Visit the A72 Communication Station, once vital for Southern battlefield communication.
Continue into the main Cha Loi Cave. Activities include walking, crawling, climbing, and swimming over 4 km of rugged cave terrain. Highlights include the spectacular Tunnel of Love and an impressive stalactite system.
13:00: Exit the cave and enjoy a hearty local lunch in nature. Rest after the meal.
15:00: Transfer to Coi Village, home of the Bru Van Kieu people and the scenic Love Valley.
16:00: Set up tents and enjoy a BBQ dinner prepared by the tour team. Evening activities include group games with guides and porters. Overnight camping.
Day 3: Trekking – Stream Swimming (Group Tour)
08:00: Breakfast, followed by a visit to Coi Village to learn about the local culture and lifestyle of the Bru Van Kieu.
10:00: Trek to Kieu Cave, known for its striking stalactites. The path includes a 300m climb.
Continue trekking through the Truong Son mountains, passing stilt houses of the Bru Van Kieu people. Optional stream swimming.
13:00: Lunch and relaxation at Nuoc Lanh Stream.
15:00: Return to the car park and begin the journey back to Dong Hoi.
16:30: Drop-off at Dong Hoi Station or airport. Tour ends.
