Description

Spend an evening cruising the calm waters of the River Thames as you scope out Oxford's charming boat houses and riverfront cottages from a spacious boat. Afterward, grab a table at The Folly restaurant and enjoy a delicious 3-course meal while you watch punters, rowers, and pleasure craft tour the river.

Join your guide for the evening just steps away from The Folly restaurant. Step on board your vessel for the evening, a classic river cruiser bedecked with teak inlays and a shady awning. Set a course upstream to cruise past the picnickers in Christ Church Meadow and the rowers along the university regatta course.

Head back towards the stone arch of Folly Bridge, where you can disembark and head inside the restaurant to enjoy a delicious 3-course dinner. Tuck into scrumptious starters, fill up with a hearty entree, and then linger over dessert before your evening winds to a close.

Food great, very tasty and well cooked . Service ok but slightly lacking attention to detail - e.g water was warm and no ice offered, wine glass splashed with drips of wine falling off base, table candle unlit although very gloomy, ice cream served on large warm plate with cheesecake, which was delicious b t w, so it became a custard .

Very relaxing evening with a nice meal. The view was beautiful and the service was excellent. A great end to a long day.

The boat trip was only 30 minutes and while the food was good, it wasn't worth the amount paid. With just a couple of drinks each we paid close to £100 per head. Won't be doing it again.
