Description

Discover the lasting cultural marks left by Carthaginians, Romans, Muslims, and Christians during a fascinating journey to Córdoba and Carmona. Stunning ancient architecture and rich heritage await you at every turn during this excursion into the Andalusian countryside.

After convenient pick-up from Seville, head east and make your first stop in Carmona, known to many as El Lucero de Europa, or the Star of Europe. Observe the Roman heritage through the design of its roads and bridges, and listen as your guide enlightens you to the history that lies hidden on every street corner.

Continue to Córdoba and enjoy sights of the 14th century Alcazar fortress of King Don Pedro and the Church of Santa Maria. Learn about the city's rich Muslim heritage, and hear anecdotes of how that society shaped the area over the centuries. We had a great time on this tour. Wido, our tour guide was fun, friendly and knowledgable about Cordoba and Carmona. We went to the Mezquita and walked around the Jewish Quarter of Cordoba. It was an amazing day to explore the medieval city of Cordoba.

The tourist was not very knowledgeable of the history. Barely talked through out the tour. She was very fast, we had to continously catch up to her and out of breath. No time to take pictures, look around nor do some shopping for suveniers. In the town of Carmona everything was closed other than a hotel where she took us to. The sinaga which was part of the tour was closed on Monday's yet when we booked the tour there was no mention of this. We had to cut our cathedral tour short to be able to have time to eat. A lot of incline walking. Overall even though it seemed like it would have been beautiful city to get to know, the whole group was too busy playing catch up so we would not get lost. Numerous people complaining.

Liked the tour a lot, the guide (Flavio) was very resourceful but I would have liked a guided tour inside the mosque. It is overwhelming in its beauty and grandeur .
