Hop on a relaxing cruise between the two ports before arriving in a working farm, where you can taste aromatic cheese varieties. To complete the experience, visit a clog-maker's workshop and iconic windmills in the idyllic Zaanse Schans area.

Spend the afternoon at one of the country's top attractions – the renowned Keukenhof, hosting more than 7 million tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and other wonders on almost 80 acres (32 ha) of spring garden. we would recommend this tour to everyone, we have done it twice now and Diana was our guide on both occasions, she is great at keeping the group together, and on time, and very knowledgeable and friendly. The gardens were stunning and the charming villages and ferry trip with the interesting cheese and clog making demos make the tour great value for money. We did not visit the fish restaurant as we wished to eat later in the day, so cannot comment on it, but enjoyed sitting on the quayside having a drink. We felt that we had enough time at each venue to see everything and thoroughly enjoyed our day.

We loved seeing the flowers at the Keukenhof Gardens. The windmill, village was quaint and touristy but our time was short and we were unable to really see too much. We were told we would be visiting a cheese factory in Volendam but it was pretty much a tourist stop at a cheese shop...we loved the ferry ride to Marken. The guides pretty much acted as time keepers, there wasn't a lot of guiding. After our visit to Marken we returned to Amsterdam....got off our bus and waited for another bus to pick us up to take us to the Keukenhof Gardens, not what we expected. Our guide was pretty relaxed...perhaps too much so. She told us when the bus would return but not when we were leaving. Then she held up the entire bus for one young woman who bought fries and refused to throw them away, as she was not allowed to bring food on the bus. We all waited while the woman ate....not classy. The guides did their job and little else but all,of them remembered to mention leaving tips.

The reason I say this is because when I got up early to go on this combo tour I was then told that my booking had not gone through even though I had paid for it. I then had to pay again to go to the keukenhof gardens as they didn’t have any places left on the combo tour. Very disappointing. But I will be claiming my money back for this.
