Description

Meet up with a professional photographer and head into the myriad lawns, gardens, fountains and water features hidden away within Central Park’s network of paved paths and woodlands. Practise your shutter skills and get a few tips along the way as you capture exceptional shots of this amazing park.

Spread out over 843 acres (341 ha), Central Park is an iconic part of New York’s downtown cityscape and an ideal place to hone your picture-taking techniques. Team up with a local photographer who knows the best places to check out around the park, and chat about your photo interests and experience before you start your day.

Depending on the time of year, you might capture the colourful foliage-flanked lawns of the East Meadow or the snow-covered limbs along the Mall. In spring and summer, head to hangouts popular with locals, like Bethesda Fountain, where energetic street performers offer a great opportunity to try your hand at mastering engaging action shots.

Along with other shutterbugs, get feedback from your guide as you shoot, learning how to frame and expose exquisite pictures, no matter what kind of camera you’re using. Ideal for those with little experience, or budding amateurs who need more advanced help, this image-inspired excursion is perfect for anyone who wants to uncover the Big Apple through the eye of their camera lens.
