The resturant itself was nice, the service was good. As far as the food goes, the scones and sandwhiches were delicious! the tea selection wasn't large and the sweets weren't as good. Overall, it was alright. Not good enough for the price.

I booked afternoon tea as a treat for a friend. The tea was booked for 3pm on the 9th May. When we got to the restaurant/cafe there seemed some confusion. Our table wasn’t ready. A member of staff said there was a table laid up. It was outside of the main eating area to the side and situated next to the toilets. Even though the afternoon tea was very nice, the whole experience was spoilt as there was a dreadful smell coming from the toilets. I was very disappointed as it spoilt our experience and I do not think it was worth the expense. We complained to two members of staff but they just agreed that the smell of the toilets was bad and that was all they said.

The sandwiches, tea and desserts were delicious! Highly recommend taking a stroll around the British Museum and then having afternoon tea.
