What you can expect

Day 1: Arrive in Essex and take the optional Essex Stream Train & Riverboat Ride. Made from restored 1920s railway cars, it takes passengers 12 miles into the scenic Connecticut country side. At the end of the ride, passengers can board a Mississippi paddle boat (closed on August 26 and 28; instead visit the Mystic Aquarium). After head to Rhode Island to visit the Breakers Mansion a four story Italian Renaissance inspired mansion built on 14 acres of waterfront proprty by Cornelius Vanderbill II, a member of the wealthy United State Vanderbilt family.

Day 2: Optional: An ideal relaxing getaway, take a 45 minute ferry to reach Martha's Vineyard Island,. Visit the Aquinnah Cliffs - formerly known as Gay Head. 150 feet above the ocean, the spectacular clay cliffs have the most breath-taking view on the entire island. With an optional Martha's Vineyard Narrated Tour, it will take you to the six amazing towns that make up the Vineyard, and the quickest way to experience the island by road. At the end take some time to explore and take in the island on your own!
