“For Easter? How about a stay at The Fairmont Kea Lani<\/a> in Maui?<\/p>\n

It’s Hawaii’s only all-suite and luxury villa oceanfront resort and is perfect for families. The resort recently benefitted from a $70 million renovation – focused mainly on upgrading the suites – and it shows. Suite footprints are all the same; it’s the view that changes with varying prices.<\/p>\n

They offer lots of “extras” including cultural experiences aimed at visitors who want a deeper understanding of Hawaii’s culture beyond the stereotypical leis and Mai Tais. I tried Kiakahi – a combination of new age exercises with Hawaiian and Polynesian training methods.<\/p>\n

Don’t miss the Torch Lighting Ceremony. Each evening at dusk a mysterious figure dressed in a pau (grass skirt) and ankle bracelets lights each tiki torch across the property. Kids follow him across the resort like the Pied Piper!”<\/p>\n

“We have stayed at Peckforton Castle<\/a> in Tarporley, Cheshire. We were drawn here as it is an absolutely stunning castle set in beautiful woodlands in the heart of Cheshire. It is an ideal base to explore The Ice-cream Farm, Beeston Castle, Cheshire Workshops or to head into Chester, although we enjoyed simply spending time wandering around the grounds of the castle. The rooms are individual, luxurious and I loved all the original features that seemed to create a real sense of history. The 1851 restaurant offers a really special dining experience, and there is also the option to dine at the informal Brasserie which is located in the Scullery. What we loved most? That families and children are more than welcome. We would definitely return!”<\/p>\n

“Hotel Pelirocco<\/a> is by far the most unique and interesting hotel I have been in through my travels. This is the original rock ‘n’ roll hotel, with each room having a different theme, from the punk rock themed Pretty Vacant room to the glamorous pin-up parlour. The downstairs hosts live music events, while they were serving afternoon tea and cocktails when I arrived. This is an unbelievable option if you want to see the truly bizarre side of Brighton.”<\/p>\n
