Fashion is the main appeal in Dam Square. The plaza’s northern side backs up to De Bijenkorf, a huge department store dealing exclusively in designer brands. The gorgeous building, designed during the Dutch impressionist movement, is lovely to view as well.<\/p>\n
Dam Square also has busy shopping streets that travel out from its southern corner into Kalverstraat. The pedestrianised avenue is lined with high- and middle-end clothing shops, such as Topshop, Urban Outfitters and Monki, which have massive showrooms.<\/p>\n
### Utrechtsestraat<\/p>\n
Utrechtsestraat is a quiet, central street that travels between de Pijp and Rembrandtplein. It’s filled with Dutch townhouses and picturesque landscaping among numerous boutique stores and coffee shops to relax in between shopping excursions.<\/p>\n
### De Negen Straatjes<\/p>\n
De Negen Straatjes is a quirky neighbourhood within Amsterdam’s Western canal ring and spans 9 streets. Since the 1990s, the area has drawn designers who created a distinctive boutique economy in the area, complete with gorgeous storefronts and personally curated showrooms.
