From Mediterranean to Middle Eastern, your Turkish inspired recipes were as appetising on the eye, as we&#8217;re sure they tasted, really capturing the essence of Turkey.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a.travel-assets.com\/findyours-php\/viewfinder\/images\/res40\/72000\/72374.jpg\" alt=\"Turkish gluten-free kisir\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Aimee from <a href=\"http:\/\/wallflowergirl.co.uk\/gluten-free-kisir\/\">The Wallflower Girl,<\/a> tried her hand at a gluten free kisir; a traditional Turkish side dish, which can be served cold or part of a meze selection, one of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.expedia.co.uk\/vc\/package-holidays\/istanbul\">Istanbul&#8217;s favourites<\/a>. Aimee switched the original ingredient of bulgar to quinoa for this yummy gluten-free alternative.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a.travel-assets.com\/findyours-php\/viewfinder\/images\/res40\/72000\/72375.jpg\" alt=\"Turkish chicken d\u00f6ner kebab\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Many know the chicken d\u00f6ner kebab as a post-drinks snack, however this delicious delicacy was re-created by Kate at <a href=\"http:\/\/relokate.eu\/a-turkish-night-at-the-jordan-household\/\">Relokate<\/a> using a classic Turkish combination of herbs, cinnamon, coriander, oil, garlic and lemon. Kate hosted a dinner party with friends, serving the kebabs with fresh salad leaves, tomatoes, a minty yoghurt sauce and a side dish of fried courgettes.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a.travel-assets.com\/findyours-php\/viewfinder\/images\/res40\/72000\/72376.jpg\" alt=\"Turkish beans on toast\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Prashasti at <a href=\"http:\/\/luxurylaunches.com\/gastronomy\/we-curate-turkeys-zeytinyagli-barbunya-recipe-with-a-slight-indian-twist.php\">Luxury launches<\/a> opted for a Turkish recipe with an Indian twist, curating a Zeytinyagli Barbunya, an exotic take on beans on toast! A simple-to-make recipe, the combination of beans, spices, tomatoes and carrots with a bunch of coriander, makes this a great lunchtime change from the usual tinned stuff!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a.travel-assets.com\/findyours-php\/viewfinder\/images\/res40\/72000\/72377.jpg\" alt=\"Turkish Pide with salad\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Not every recipe goes exactly to plan, and we like hearing about your [<strong>#expediaworldonaplate<\/strong>](<a href=\"http:\/\/expediablog.co.uk\/world-on-a-plate-challenge\/\">http:\/\/expediablog.co.uk\/world-on-a-plate-challenge\/<\/a> &#8220;The Launch of our World on a Plate Challenge&#8221;) experiences, whether good or bad. From the wide selection of local Turkish dishes available, Andy decided upon a Lahmacuns (or Turkish pizza, to us) &#8211; a popular dish in the south of Turkey that is often served with salad due to its spicy flavours.
