Hotels.com’s Get a Room Guide reveals searches for host cities jump 665% globally with Boston seeing biggest surge (+3,645%)

Mexico City and Monterrey named best value host cities with an average daily rate of £195

Since the much-anticipated draw on 5 December, Hotels.com has seen a massive spike in searches from football fans planning trips to the U.S., Canada, and Mexico for the 2026 group stages. Global searches for host cities have soared 665%¹ since the draw YoY, and Hotels.com is helping fans lock in rooms for the summer’s biggest matchups.
 
“Most host cities are seeing a surge in searches and prices. Some hotels closest to the stadiums are expected to sell out, so fans who want to make the trip should book sooner rather than later. Biggest YoY jump in popularity: Boston (3,645%+), Dallas (2,095%+) and Atlanta (875%+)
Keenest fans²: Norwegians take the title as some of the most committed fans with a 545% YoY increase in searches for host cities
