Expedia’s Spring Travel Outlook reveals a strong split in how Brits want to travel this season. Some are chasing the heat in places like San Juan, up a whooping 245% and likely driven by the iconic performance of a certain Puerto Rican rapper, while others are leaning into culture‑packed yet great‑value breaks in Ljubljana and Valencia. Closer to home, classic coast and countryside destinations, led by Conwy, Tenby and the Cotswolds, are climbing as springtime reset spots.
For a quieter, better value spring, target late April to late May for international stays and flights, with early March hitting the sweet spot for the cheapest international stays. Price-sensitive flyers should look to early March and late April for international airfare value. As expected, late March/early Aprilbrings the steepest crowds and costs as Brits are looking to travel over the Easter break
“Brits are planning spring with purpose this year, securing guaranteed sunshine, squeezing more culture into long weekends and rediscovering the joy of a cosy holiday home rental in the Cotswolds or the Caribbean coastlines,” said Melanie Fish, spokesperson for Expedia Group Brands. “Using the right dates to dodge peak travel times is a great money‑saving hack, especially when paired with booking everything you need for your trip on Expedia for a hassle‑free holiday.”
