Nice hotel close the to the sea. Pretty basic, good for young people

Hotel staff was very friendly. 3 buffet meals a day had enough for the pickiest of eaters to someone with a more adventurous appetite. Local beer, wine, spirits, coffee, and water available all day. Snacks available in between buffet meals. It was walking distance to everything in town. If you get a split level room it’s a bit of a hike up to the top or two elevators to get there but definitely worth the hike. Rooms were quiet, peaceful views. We will definitely use this location again!

The Belvedere Gerakas Hotel was wonderful to stay in. It was our second stay at this hotel and our third to the island. We love the location of the hotel. It’s set in a quiet location surrounded by gardens and farmland but also within walking distance of the most beautiful beaches. My partner and I love the beaches so don’t spend much time at the pool. However, we did use the pool a lot this year, as the weather was very hot and the clean, heated pool was a wonderful relief from the heat. There was always a wide selection of food and drink available for breakfast and all to a very high standard. The hospitality was also at a very high standard. All the staff were very friendly and were there if we ever needed advice or help. We would not hesitate to return again.

The restaurant by the pool was fast food. I couldn’t even get a cup of coffee as per my order. Rude and obnoxious servers. The only server that cared was a woman named Konstantina. Everyone else spoke like we were bothering them. I also thought I was in (Greece) not sure why these people from other countries were working there and barely even speak English. Let alone any Greek “at all”!!! Even at the breakfast buffet. I had to ask for coffee five times and they kept telling me to wait. My son asked for ice and they looked at him like he had 10 heads. I guess the service didn’t want to be told what to do The worst were the housekeepers attitudes. They really sucked. They made us regret going there.

Great family run hotel in a great location. Rooms have been recently renovated so modern, fresh, clean. I stay in lots of hotels with work and the one thing this place has done better than most is the noise proofing. Obviously it’s not silent but with the typical Greek island noise outside you don’t really hear it so well done. Breakfast is more than enough. Hot and cold items, fruit, yoghurt, pastries. Pool area is good for the hotel size, can run out of loungers occasionally but still enough room to sit on tables and chairs and room is never far away. Staff are all very friendly. The only thing that’s missing is a no room service tag to hang on the door. Saves them disturbing you when you are trying to have a lie in. Would stay again.

Hotel Contessina is brilliant. An oasis of a hotel in what is a bustling resort town. Once inside the doors you could be anywhere in the world. The design of the renovated hotel is brilliant. Modern and sophisticated, and the planting is beautifully done. We enjoyed 2 weeks here, using it as a base to discover the island when we had a car for some of the time. The main pool area is lovely, but be warned, all of the pools are 1.4m deep with no shallow / deep ends.
