A great experience, with good rooms

Excellent environment, facilities and services

PROS: Location was excellent because you are 3-5min walk to the beach and directly in the middle of all the shops/cafes/restaurants. Building amenities was excellent because these Orchid units are situated in the upper half of a Hilton hotel so there is a beautiful lobby with bar, 24/7 gym, beautiful outdoor pools (including one that is heated) in addition to a kids pool and the elevators were fast. We were on the 37th floor (out of 55 floors) and we had a beautiful view of the ocean with a nice breeze. CONS: The unit itself is mediocre at best. Lighting during the day was gorgeous because of the sun and being on the 37th floor, however at night all the ceiling pot lights were too dim with one dead bulb so one corner of the living room was quite dark. Bathrooms were in poor condition: the tub itself was disgusting with multiple large stains, the shower glass door had a large-enough gap so water would always run down onto the floor, the silver corners of the shower were rusting and disgusting, the toilet flush button was green, very worn and needed replacing as the copper underneath was oxidizing. Ventilation was also poor as the rooms felt really stuffy and hot despite AC being on so I slept on the couch in the main living space. Does everything work? Yes. But you're basically just paying to be in a Hilton building and near the beach. The room itself is not worth it. Would I recommend? No. There are many other rentals nearby.

Beautiful clean room. Hotel is in a great location near restaurants and beach. Staff were friendly and pools were nice. Only complaint was main bed was a little firm for our liking.

Stayed at JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa and honestly, it exceeded expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, the staff were next level — super welcoming, attentive, and always willing to help with anything we needed. You can tell they genuinely care about the guest experience. The food was unreal. Every meal we had was high quality, fresh, and full of flavour — whether it was breakfast, room service, or dining in the restaurant, it never missed. The pool area is easily one of the best parts of the resort. The lagoon-style pool is stunning, clean, and just an unreal place to relax. It feels more like a tropical escape than being in Surfers. The room itself was just as impressive — spotless, modern, and really comfortable. Everything was well thought out, and the attention to detail made it feel like a proper luxury stay. Overall, everything from the service, food, pool, and rooms was on point. Couldn’t fault the place. Definitely somewhere I’d come back to without even thinking twice.
