Makarska Riviera Waterpark Holidays

This wasn’t your typical “hotel”. We were struggling to find something affordable during the busy July month in Split, most hotels were double if not triple the price of Boutique Sailor rooms. We were skeptical at first because of the great price but after reading the reviews and staying there for 5 nights ourselves, we totally get the hype now! This “hotel” was more like a mix of a hotel & an airbnb. The room felt exactly like a hotel but there is no lobby, no staff on the premises and certainly no room service (sort of). The hosts (a husband and a wife) were incredible. All the communication is done via WhatsApp. They were able to pick us up from the bus station and drop us off at the airport all free of charge (of course we tipped). The “hotel” is located on a relatively busy street but you’d never know it once you’re inside. It’s located in a building of roughly 3 levels (no elevator) but the rooms are situated just up one flight of stairs. There’s 3 boutique sailor rooms and they are all right next to each other. The layouts are thoughtfully designed and we got lucky and got one with a balcony. The hosts are available to give recommendations, bring you breakfast, extra towels, clean the room, etc…just like a hotel. The only difference is instead of calling the lobby, you message the host via WhatsApp. They are super responsive and soooooo nice. Highly recommend this stay!

The location was terrific with a short walk to the Riva and palace. Shopping and restaurants were plentiful. The apartment is very comfortable with a user friendly kitchen area and all the necessary comforts. The area is very quiet. I would definitely stay again.

Images did not depict reality of the property at all. The entryway, elevator and corridors will give a jump scare initially. Once we got past that it was simply a place to sleep versus a relaxation point.

Extremely clean! Tucked away from main center so noise is minimal. The staff bends over backwards to help in any way.

Great location close to old town. I would not recommend this place to stay for the amount of money. The room was very basic with a view of some rubbish and a wall. We had multiple things go wrong. Someone opened our room door and let themselves in and turned on the light at 0750hrs even with the do not disturb sign on. We were not given our welcome bottle of wine until we asked for it and we were called and told to check out immediately on the day before our check out day because their system got it wrong. To their credit, the customer service manager did call and apologise and reasonably tried to make amends, however it should never have happened. A booking for a hotel is pretty simple. It should be noted there are 2 wings to this hotel and there is a good chance you will get the old section like us and they will ask 200 Euro a night extra if you want a better room. Keeping in mind it was over $600 AUD a night for the basic room we were given. The pool has a great view. It is made only for drinking as it is waist deep with tables. There are also only 4 lounges to uae for the entire hotel guests because it is catered as a bar, not a pool area. All things considered, we are very happy we moved to Villa Harmony for the rest of the stay and although it wasn't the worst place we have stayed, we can confidently say never again. Just not good value for money. Spend it elsewhere.

Flott hus. Alle soverommene hadde egne bad. Rommene hadde fin størrelse. Åpen stue og kjøkkenløsning fungerte bra. Uteområdet var fint og velholdt. Vi var 2 familier med tilsammen 4 voksne og 4 barn. Vi storkosa oss. Grei gåavstand til det aller meste.
