Cabo Peñas Waterpark Holidays

The pictures presented in Expedia are over exaggerated. There were dry pools with algae, old rooms that needed updating, and the spa was a no- go. If mediocre is what you seek, this is the place for you.

Hotel exceptionally well placed, with great views of the bay from the superior room we had. The facilities in the room were perfectly adequate, and the staff were very nice though there was a language barrier; they spoke very little English (and our Spanish was terrible). The bed was nice, the room was clean, and the fridge was serviceable. Shower was excellent! Also breakfast had a nice selection of continental choices, just missing some eggs. However, the A/C was practically nonexistent. Also for a 4* hotel I would have expected complimentary drinking water stocked in our rooms, considering you can' t drink from the taps. And lastly and most important of all (hence the 1* on facilties), the balconies were simply unsafe to use. The fixings on both balconies were all corroded, the barriers were flexible and appeared to not have been updated to more recent safety standards - ie, above waist height. I would not trust them to take my weight or protect me if I tripped (and our room was very high up!), which is a shame because the view was as I said fantastic. Please please update the balconies (and put some water in the rooms).

Well built modern hotel. We found our room to be quiet, especially for a large hotel. It was hot and the A/C worked very well. We are traveling with our dog and chose the terrace room, which was perfect. The king bed in our room was super comfy and huge! Biggest king size bed I’ve seen. The spa as great but did cost an extra 30 euro. I would stay there again. We were passing through and did not know the area. One thing to note, the area surrounding the property in every direction are huge factories with smoke massive smoke stacks. They are steal and aluminum factories. It was the weekend so they weren’t in operation but it is a definite and very noticeable part of the surrounding landscape. But again, the hotel is a thumbs up for great rest and spa.

Une maison magnifique avec un jardin bien entretenu. La chambre et l’ensemble des pièces étaient décorés avec goût et d’une propreté irréprochable. J’ai adoré certains des tableaux.
