The Shakun hotel is well located in the city and just slightly out of the hustle and bustle of the main road; it's great for tour pick-ups and grabbing an Uber to dinner in the evening. The hotel is a little dated and perhaps not quite as grand as it once was. We travelled outside of peak season and it felt like the staff had been switched to a less experienced team who perhaps weren't as knowledgeable about service. However, they were always really friendly when we approached them. However, the restaurant food was great and the breakfast buffet was varied. Our room was big, spacious, really clean and attended to every day. If you're looking for a base while you spend a couple of days exploring Jaipur and aren't too worried about aesthetics of the hotel then the Shakun hotel, for the price, is worth it.

Property was clean and staff was helpful. But parking space was very limited and entrance was too narrow. Maintenance work was going and roof top swimming pool was of no use. Even buffet breakfast was not available. However staff upgraded our room as we paid around 6500/night.

This is a spectacular place to stay! The staff, food, art, architecture, garden areas, pool and all of the details are amazing! The location is within walking distance to many of Jaipur’s old town shopping and monuments. I highly recommend this place to have a quiet and special place to stay in the busy city!
