Great location. Great vibe. Great helpful and friendly staff. Sizeable rooms with views to Table Mountain and marina. Also quick and safe access to V/A marina area in evenings. Breakfast was amazing with selection of buffet and à la carte options.

My fiancé and I stayed at the Taj to celebrate our engagement, and we were genuinely excited after hearing so many great recommendations. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of the five-star standard we expected. At check-in, we told the staff we had just gotten engaged, but there was no acknowledgment or effort to make the occasion special. They offered to make us a dinner reservation, but when we arrived, no reservation had been made. We also booked spa treatments, and my package included a complimentary glass of wine that I was never offered. Our room had several issues as well. The TV repeatedly shut off and the hairdryer stopped working. When we reported this, we were asked to prove it and had to show videos before the staff took us seriously. These may seem like small issues individually, but together they showed a clear lack of attention to detail. For a hotel at this price point, especially for such a special occasion, we expected much more thoughtful service. Unfortunately, we left feeling disappointed rather than celebrated. Three stars at best.

Excellent stay with the most accommodating and helpful staff who went out of their way to make us feel at home. We were greeted with refreshments every evening and our beds were made comfortable nightly with hot water bottles making us sleep better than at home. We really had an exceptional stay and we look forward to hopefully visiting again! Thank you to Mimi and other staff for their amazing hospitality!
