Great proximity to Petco Park, you can see the stadium from the hotel. We picked this location because we were going to a concert there...highly recommend; clean hotel, staff is amazing and it's a great location in Gaslamp.

The Loews was a good place to stay. We went there for our honeymoon, and I admit, in hindsight, I do not think I would have stayed there. It is definitely family friendly, and it cost too much for what we got out of it. Now, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were nice and serviced regularly, and the place was wonderful. However, the hot tubs did go out, the bugs were frequently bad, the beach access is not good at all, and everything was more expensive than advertised. Parking is around $50 per night, which wasn't covered up front. Resort fees are almost $50 per day as well which, again were not mentioned up front. And in general, the drinks, in room dining, and food was more than it was worth. Now, I would still recommend this place because the people were pretty nice but I would caution people to know what you are spending.

The room needs air purifier

We had to pay a resort fee for things like house keeping and breakfast in addition to a deposit at check in, this totsled abiut $375. Had never had to do that before.
