Great Lakes Pet-friendly Holidays

Very nice cozy hotel that was a 15 min walk from Clifton Hill and all the touristy spots. Plenty of places to eat within a 5-10 walk as well

At checkout they made us pay an undisclosed "Destination fee". When we asked what that was they said it was for the amenities like the pool and gym which we didn't even use. Staff were not apologetic when we said we were unaware of these fees. The rest of our stay went very well!

Under the new management, unfortunately, this hotel is no longer worth the price. For the amount you pay to stay here, the fact that daily housekeeping is not provided is very disappointing. When I first entered my room, the floors were visibly dirty with mud, and the room did not appear to have been cleaned thoroughly. I was also disappointed that the upstairs bar closed at 7:00 PM, which seems unusually early for a hotel. Overall, the attention to hotel guests was just average, and the experience did not meet the expectations you would have for the price. I enjoyed this property 10,000 times more when it was the Virgin Hotel. Sadly, based on my recent experience, I would not stay here again.
