I always enjoy staying at a nice comfortable Marriott hotel. Rooms are clean and fresh, the beds are comfortable. The restaurant was a 4/5 this time, the food was overly salted, but my server was great!

My husband and I have always loved staying at old, historic, but well-maintained hotels. For our anniversary we decided to stay at The Fairmont San Francisco. The hotel is quite imposing and in a great location perched on top of Nob Hill. The room was large, clean and well appointed. For the most part the hotel met our expectations with one glaring exception. There literally is no real bar in the entire hotel. Yes, you can order a drink in the main dining room and carry it down a hall to an outside "rooftop" garden (which isn't on a rooftop) or stand at one designated bar table in the Tonga Bar. If I had one recommendation for the hotel it would be to install in that magnificent lobby one out-of-this world bar. There's more than enough room and what a draw that would be! The Cirque Bar would make a great speak-easy type bar. It's really a lackluster morning coffee cafe.

Cozy neighborhood boutique room with great location. No amenities outside the room. Feels more like a bed and breakfast. Room was very comfortable I would recommend for a short stay.
