+ Amazing view Beautiful surroundings Helpful staff in the reception Boat trips and rentals of cars, mopeds or ATVs/ quads avail able Pool and beach Good drinks Easy to find parking Good location (close to mini-market, cafe and several restaurants). - The poolbar had highs and lows, food was good for the most part but sometimes it was missing ingredients och was burnt and sent back. Sometime the wait was crazy long (over one hour at one point). They almost never brought the dishes at the same time so me. Sometimes they forgot part of the order. Staff was shy and felt uncomfortable speaking English. Couldn’t answer simple questions. The pool could use some upgrading, but worked fine to cool off. Sunbeds by the water had a super thin mattress and were quite uncomfortable. Some sunbeds by the beach were broken and the sun beds by the pool had seen better days but worked fine. The cleaning staff did not read the do not disturb sign and knocked and opened the door a couple of times when we did not expect it. Nothing was on time: transfer to/ from the airport, the boat ride, the food etc.

Well run hotel central in Tsivili. Breakfast is good and rooms are kept to a high standard and are very clean. Staff and service are excellent. Couple of minor issues: Room was fine for 3 but described as having a separate bedroom room when this was a thin privacy screen rather than a room as such - presumably for travellers with younger children. Not a huge issue for me but could be, depending on who you're travelling with. Pool area is a shade small for the size of the hotel but what you do have is good. Gets very busy owing to the size and there's not any particular quiet area there. Again, not a major issue for me but would mention that it may not be suitable for travellers looking for a quiet pool area in high season. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

Modern clean rooms as advertised, walls a bit thin so could hear the neighbours. Food was fine, nothing spectacular but always something to choose. Rice and spice restaurant and Bella gusto restaurant much better than the others. Swim up pool was nice and no issues getting sun loungers around the other pools most of the time. Only one deep pool was a bit of a let down but it is a family- and child-friendly resort so that’s fine. Included drinks were fine too, but nothing to write home about. Staff friendly, rooms spotless. Overall a nice place but wouldn’t want to stay more than a week as the food would get quite repetitive!!

Every staff at this hotel is friendly and helpful especially the receptionists that made our holiday enjoyable and pleasant. I extremely appreciate the reception manager (Sira) that made our holiday very memorable. I want to commend all the staff for how much they made our experience very good and I would recommend others to book this hotel, the food was lovely,the service was top notch.If I were to come back to this area this hotel would be my first pick.

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful hotel! For our 25th anniversary, they surprised us with an upgrade from the standard Contessina Hotel to Contessina Suites and Spa and gave us a room with our own private pool, it was absolutely amazing. They also welcomed us with a bottle of wine and provided several great discounts throughout the hotel. The included breakfast was a highlight, with fresh-squeezed juices and a delicious spread I looked forward to every morning. But the best part? The staff who were all friendly, helpful, and genuinely courteous. Don’t even hesitate — stay here. Highly recommended!

Perfect stay. Excellent hotel. Calm. Only the sea beach is avarage.

The hotel itself is beautiful, set on a hillside with stunning views. The grounds are quite spread out, so be prepared for a bit of walking between areas. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made our stay more enjoyable. However, there were a few disappointments. The fan in our room didn’t work from day one, and despite reporting it, it was never fixed. The mini fridge stopped working after two days and was only repaired the day before we left. We also requested a corkscrew and were told they couldn’t find one — surprising, considering the hotel has at least three restaurants on site. Overall, it’s a very nice hotel with a lot of charm, but based on our experience, it doesn’t quite meet the standard of a true 5-star property.

6th visit to Caretta beach, love this hotel and area

A really pleasant hotel with amazing staff. We had a private pool and it was lovely for the kids to be able to dip in and out. The overall hotel facilities were good, the pool and beach bar were good. Having a small beach effectively to ourselves was also great. It's reasonably good for snorkelling. The food was very good and plenty of variety on offer. The only thing I did not like was that the property is some distance from a shopping area, so would suggest a car to people. Although there are plenty of trips and tours arranged by the excellent concierge at the hotel.
