Weymouth and Portland District Mountain Holidays

Daughter lives in Chelsea and this was a short walk to her flat. The early part of my stay I had a room with a kitchen. As there were excellent restaurants close by, I did not use the kitchen except for the fridge. Air conditioning was a godsend as it the temps were high. This is one of the reasons I did not stay with my daughter. On a student budget, she does not have AC in her flat. I stayed in smaller room later in my stay, and the room without the kitchen is much smaller with limited storage. I wouldn't recommend for a couple unless you are there with weekend bags. AC still was welcomed. For those who prefer to have someone on staff at the property, this is not the place. The app works perfectly for the front and room doors. I left my luggage in a locker the morning of my check-out as my train did not leave until the afternoon. I later realized that my code for the front door no longer worked. Thankfully, there was a housekeeper passing by just as I was trying to figure out how to contact the hotel. I would definitely return. We stayed at the property when it was Sonder, which offered breakfast in the main room. With coffee machine in the room and breakfast restaurants close by, I didn't find it to be something I missed.

The room wasn't ready when we arrived at 3:30 though the booking said ready by 3. It didn't take too long but was a bit annoying. The room itself was lovely though it was a bit strange to not have a bin and I would have liked more coffee etc. We got a wake up call at 5am which we didn't ask for. When we checked out I brought this up and we were told it was a mistake and the person apologised but I would have preferred if they apologised without me prompting and maybe offered us some kind of compensation. I have issues sleeping so it was really quite disruptive. I did wonder if it was because we were clearly not well off and the place is quite posh. I don't have an issue with someone making a mistake but seems weird not to apologise.

Great location, close to transport

After staying at a number of similarly priced hotels in London, this one stands out. The location and hotel were great. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Excellent stay at an excellent hotel.

Location was perfect. Family suite was excellent for our family. Room was clean. Only recommendation would be to have an additional mirror in the room.

Everything went pretty well overall. Best in mind there is no swimming pool, and the bell desk team lost all of our luggage until I expressed some anger and frustration. Then, magically, they found the luggage somewhere on property bringing us our stuff minus 2 items. By the time it was all sorted out, we easted and hour and almost missed our flight.

The location was good and the staff were friendly; the hotel was clean. However, the fact that the metro runs underneath is a major issue for light sleepers, the room was small, and the bed was too short for tall people. I highly doubt I would stay there again. Still, thank you for everything.

Very nice 2 night stay, Easy to reach from Gloucester Rd tube station and walked to Royal Albert Hall for Proms concerts and V&A museum. A good affordable hotel in thr Kensington area. Staff were friendly and polite. Breakfast was very good too.
