Property needs bit of a facelift not as luxurious as I thought it would be from photos It was a weekend when we arrived so lots of locals had come to the hotel and music and sports matches on the TVs were blasting out by the pool, quiter and more relaxing on Monday Surrounding trees and views were lovely and great seeing monkeys and birds snd a sloth from our balcony which was such a highlight Room 326 had a great balcony for wildlife spotting Breakfast was average

Our waiter Alejandro was great, he made our stay there fantastic. He should be the manager there, he took care of us when the manager never show her face to deal our complaints.

Upon arrival you’re driven on the golf cart to the top of a rainforest. If you watch carefully you can spot sloths, monkeys, and amazing birds. Our villa was the perfect arrangement for our family and gave us a great place to relax. The master balcony had morning closeup vies if a sweet Scarlet McCaw couple. You could spot monkeys and toucans from the roof terrace. Cabana and dining area on roof were added extra. Staff was super attentive and helpful. Restaurant and especially breakfast was absolutely AMAZING as were the frozen cocktails and lunch and dinner too. Please see my review for La Luna. Pool was fun with midday frozen cocktail treats (mocktails too!). Beds and sheets were perfect for helping us rest. Went in McCaw tour and hike for breathtaking view and hotel arranged for friendly and informative tour guide, Clarence, at the MApark where he helped us photograph wildlife and told us facts and tidbits about the animals. Very enjoyable! Hotel does keep tabs on your arrivals/departures but you soon realize it so they can clean your room and make sure you cone back and don’t go MIA on a hike or tour if you venture on your own. Great stay, relaxing and welcoming. Definitely go back someday!

The quality of the service has dramatically decrease. The staff at the receptions are not locals and their knowledge of the hospitality world is null, this was the worst check in and check out process. Not long ago, this was one of the best boutique hotels in Puntarenas. The place is beautiful, the staff seems they don’t care their job. The restaurant is expensive and they are not willing to make small changes in the menu even if the price is 4x what you will pay on average in any other place. Enjoy the view, don’t expect a good treatment from their staff.

Lighting in the room was poor and room was outdated. Staff was great. However, waiter service at the restaurant was very poor for an empty restaurant.
