The property is well located and beautiful. The room is on the small side, and the bathroom in particular was too small, but very nicely appointed. For me the biggest shortcoming is no on site treadmill or workout room. They do have privileges at a gym 5 blocks away, and it’s a good gym; but I prefer a hotel with an on site treadmill. For a less pricey hotel these things wouldn’t be a problem, but for me Kitano is a bit too expensive for these shortcomings.

Great older property with old NY atmosphere. Great proximity to Central Park and easy Uber ride to Broadway shows. Staff were friendly and very helpful!

I’m in NYC once a month on average and have stayed at numerous properties. For the price, The Ned just misses the mark a bit. Doormen (when present) seemed annoyed I was entering or leaving. Staffing was minimal in the restaurant spaces and I had to get up and request service and then flag down someone for the check. Not a massive deal except I was spending $80 on a burger and one glass of wine so one would expect the service to match the 20% tip they suggest (and I still paid). The shower took around 10 minutes to even get remotely warm and overall the room felt minimal and dated. For the price, the experience was just a bit lack luster for the price level.

if you like older stately hotel this is for you. if you want more contemporary remodeling you may be disappointed.

Honestly this hotel feels like ur in a train station .. no one recognises u .. or they know ur staying at the hotel .
