We enjoyed our stay at the Massimo Plaza Hotel. The best aspect was the location across from the Teatro Massimo, which is the third largest opera house in Europe and a meeting place for many local tours. The neighborhood is nice and very walkable near restaurants and markets. Breakfast in the dining room was okay with an assortment of breads, fruit and salami and cheeses. The main downside of the hotel was that the room was dated and worn. Parking is a 5 minute walk on a side street in a public lot-reservations are needed (25 euros/day),

The Villa Athena is an amazing luxury hotel with an amazing location. With a direct view of Greek temples, as well as private access, sets this property apart from others. In addition the rooms are well appointed and comfortable. We also enjoyed our private balcony with direct access to the property and pool area. The staff was welcoming and attentive. I like the size of the resort as it feels more intimate and personalized. We also took advantage of the amazing restaurant as well. We will definitely return for another stay in the future.
