Makarska Riviera Kid friendly Holidays

Very close to the beach and restaurants. The area where the hotel is located was very crowded but I guess it is expected during the summer. The hotel was excellent. They even made our 25th anniversary memorable by send us a heart shaped fruit plate.

The hotel is beautiful! The location is excellent and the staff are amazing. When we arrived my room had a bit of an issue and they went out of there way to help make my stay comfortable and make sure I was happy. No excuses they were on it. My room was incredible with a panoramic view of the beach. ( worth it!) AC works perfect which you need because it’s sooooo hot. The breakfast is excellent and everyone greets you with a smile. They truly want you to have a great time. The outdoor bar is so convenient and the dinner was great. Oh and the spa was fabulous… best massage yet. I will definitely go back to this hotel. The beaches are crowded but if you walk a bit you find a spot in no time and people are just so happy to help you. Can’t wait to go back!

Clean room, staff was courteous, the hotel is right on the beach and everything is walkable from the hotel.

The property itself was pretty nice and the buffet breakfast was great and had many options, but we were disappointed with the parking as we had to park relatively far in a forest with a rocky dirt road and were still charged 20euro for parking as they maybe only have 20 paved spots onsite by the hotel. They also charge 20 euro a lounge chair on the property and it definitely isn’t a white sand beach as advertised on the booking website.

The Bluesun Hotel Berulia has a lot going for it. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained, the location is lovely, and having a nice beach directly in front of the hotel is a huge plus. Breakfast was included in our stay and we enjoyed it—the selection and quality were good. Unfortunately, the room experience didn’t live up to the same standard. We stayed in a Superior Room, which we found uncomfortable. Housekeeping was also disappointing, and the toiletries provided felt quite low quality for a hotel at this price point. Another small but telling detail was the coffee in the room. Only packets of instant coffee were provided. At this level and price, I would expect something more elevated, such as a Nespresso or similar coffee machine. Overall, the setting, grounds, beach, and breakfast are the highlights, but the rooms, housekeeping, amenities, and attention to detail need improvement to match the price and the impression the hotel creates from the outside.

Clean, excellent location, friendly staff. Lovely grounds. Great breakfast but a shame that you had to purchase drinks at dinner and couldn’t bring water in, not provided for free. The dinner quality could also be better.
