We had a great one night stay at Berwick Lodge on a a Monday to celebrate a birthday. The sun shone and the Housemartins flew happily around whilst we sat on the terrace having a cocktail. The à la carte menu was fantastic - well worth the cost and breakfast was very tasty. Will definitely stay again in one of the other fantastic looking rooms.

The TV remote wouldn't operate when I pressed the appropriately marked Red on/off button. Journeyed down to reception to be told to press the No 1 channel button !! Back up ten floors come the time to sleep no button would turn it off. After searching for 10 minutes I pulled out the cable from the underside of the set wich was housed in a hardly accessible cabinet. Shower floor cracked and peeling very unhygienic. No usb sockets it's 2026

We had exec room 913 on the top floor . Lovely stay, nice facilities , very clean and a really comfy bed. Only downside being the aircon , it was hopeless . That was such a shame because everything else was perfect and I was desperate for a proper nights sleep after the run of warm weather.
