The Boldons Fishing Holidays

Booked a double room for a couple of nights. Somehow also ended up with a set of bunk beds, but bizarre as it was a setup no complaints. Room was spacious, clean and had been recently renovated. The bathroom, while still clean, was one of those little enclosed, almost cabin like rooms where you could use the toilet from the shower while brushing your teeth in the sink. In theory nothing wrong with this, but as someone 6ft tall always emerge with battered electron these. Only other complaint really isn’t the places fault, but I visited during a heatwave and the room was ungodly hot at night. Appreciate that this isn’t a recurring problem in the North East of England, but did affect my stay. Wouldn’t put me off going again though

Room was lovely, but its the fine details that get missed , the shower head had mould on the shower head and it flooded, no fridge in the rooms , air conditioning was a god send, the nets in the bedroom was mouldy Lovely hotel and breakfast was nice too, a lovely nights stay, staff very welcoming

decent hotel - well equipped rooms - needs to have more pillows of a better quality in each room. stayed a few times and never spares/extras in the room and the one they provide are small and feather - incredibly uncomfrotable!

We booked a "stadium view" room as we were attending a football game during the weekend. Located at 602 on the 6th floor we anticipated there may be some noise from traffic but what we didn't account for was the thunderous music from the venue across the road. The Stack is an open roof entertainment venue that has live music and DJs until midnight. The bedrooms have one small window that opens (not double glazed) and with only a fan for cooling the room, we had no choice but to put up with the noise until midnight. The bathroom is very small with a shower screen that seems strangely too short for the overhead shower. The water ends up all over the bathroom floor. The room wasn't clean, a Kirby grip under the bedside unit and dust on the cups. However, the hotel entrance is nice, staff are friendly and the location to the city centre is around 3-5 minutes walk. There is a safe, hair dryer, and kettle with coffee, tea and biscuits. We may stay again but facing away from the stadium, which is a shame because it is a unique view.

Great stay - would stay again without a doubt. Ideal location.
