We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with any request or question. The cleanliness was exceptional—every area of the hotel was spotless and impeccably maintained. The amenities were excellent and added to the overall comfort and enjoyment of our stay. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the surrounding area and enjoy everything nearby. One of the highlights, however, was the hotel’s spectacular décor. Every detail seemed thoughtfully designed, creating a unique and elegant atmosphere. We also loved learning about the hotel’s rich history, which added so much character and charm to the experience. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. We would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and comfortable stay.

Spacious and central, right in the middle of the action in San Juan. The place is large, with a little kitchenette equipped with a fridge, a toaster, a microwave, a kettle and a few other bits but no hobs. The place was quite clean but not fully. The balcony is huge and a nice touch. There are a few things that made the stay uncomfortable. The elevator was broken, so I had to carry my suitcase up alone around 4-5 flights of stairs. I don't recommend the stairs for everyone, as they are quite steep. I didn't mind the exercise but with a suitcase it was really uncomfortable, especially when there is no A/C (there is A/C in the rooms though). The bathroom has quite a precarious step right outside of it, which one could easily trip over. As others have mentioned, the lights in the bathroom turn off something like every 30 seconds. I thought I wouldn't mind this when showering but the sensor is not very sensitive in picking up on movement so it's quite annoying. The host seemed very nice when I spoke to her (my key was in the wrong lock box when I arrived) but she answered straight away. She doesn't speak English, just as a consideration. I didn't hear anything else over 3 days except a request for a review, but I think she would have helped if anything was wrong. Overall it was OK. Pros were that it felt secure, the A/C worked, it was huge + it was in a perfect location. The cons were the broken elevator, that it wasn't super clean/a bit run down and some illogical design.

Even though self check in, just was very responsive and accommodating!

I booked ocean view through Expedia which to my surprise meant an ocean view tower which you can look in the corner to see a partial view of the ocean. The hotel told me that I would have to pay $250 more a night for a true ocean view. The suites are the only rooms with true ocean views I was told. Staff was extremely nice and professional and I appreciate them alllowing me to book elsewhere after the first day when learning this information. I do believe they need to be more transparent about their room features.
