This was my second time staying at this hotel and most certainly won’t be my last!! The rooms are spacious, clean, and luxurious. Also the staff here are amazing! I believe Maria/Marie (I don’t remember exactly) made us feel super welcome and taken care of! I even left behind some belongings by accident next door and another staff member Jasmine went above and beyond to find and secure my things which was extremely nice of her and I thank her deeply for that! Definitely my go-to spot when staying in the city!

The room was lovely, and the staff was genuinely friendly. The social space seems to have never fully recovered from Covid, as there was no bar at all, and while it said that breakfast was available, the dining area was "dead".
For someone like me who didn't appreciate that the area was not at all car friendly, the parking situation was expensive and less than convenient.
The nighttime environment was a bit sketchy, and I feel that perhaps a locked front entrance requiring your key card for entrance would have made me feel safer.

Lobby is beautiful and iconic. Room was okay, a bit dated. Bottled water was available. Beds are comfortable, good sheets. Staff were incredibly nice and friendly. Was hoping to order a bloody mary after a long night out (at around 10 am) and wasn't available till noon. For the price point, I don't know if I will stay there again.

The Grove Inn was a comfortable and convenient stay. The room was clean, the bedding was very comfortable, and I slept extremely well. The location was easy to access and worked well for my plans in San Francisco.
That said, the overall feel was more simple than elegant, and there was a noticeable room odor that detracted from the experience. While it was perfectly fine for a short stay, it didn’t quite match the ‘boutique’ feel suggested in some reviews.
Overall, a decent option if comfort and location are your priorities.
