Drenia Islands Beach Holidays

We had a very enjoyable stay at Porto Carras Meliton in Sithonia. Overall, our experience was very good. The room was exceptionally spacious, clean, and comfortable. The beach is excellent—beautiful, well-maintained, and one of the best parts of the resort. The hotel itself is very large, with plenty of space to explore, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. There were a couple of downsides. The main pool uses salt water, which our kids didn’t enjoy, so we ended up spending most of our time at the beach instead. Also, it was often difficult to find available sunbeds. Despite these minor issues, we had a great vacation and would recommend Porto Carras Meliton to anyone looking for a relaxing beach holiday in Sithonia.

Not worth the $200 per night price tag. We booked this hotel in order to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We are veterans of traveling and staying in hotels in Greece and through out Europe. That being said, this is a typical beach hotel in Greece. Two types of staff here. One is ownership staff. These are people probably related to the owner. And then there are the regular staff. Both staffs were acceptable. Ownership staff had trouble running the computer and had no clue how to charge or print out simple receipts. We were one of two couples staying at the entire hotel. Breakfast was nothing to write home about typical Greek hotel Fare. The coffee at breakfast was horrible. They really wanted you to purchase a specialty coffee. The room which was supposed to be an upgrade had a hole in the bathroom ceiling and the shower plumbing was broken. Only the shower wand worked. The rain fall shower head was broken and water goes everywhere. Nothing special about this hotel. Other quirky items. You have to pay a $10 deposit for beach towels. And then another $10 tax for even using the beach. The restaurant at hotel only had snack items. Pizza and burger type of stuff. We discovered a great local's restaurant down the road and if we stayed there we would have saved $100 per night.

A beautiful resort, with both, an amazing pool adjoining a beautiful seaside. Plenty of lounge area everywhere. Staff was ridiculously attentive and concerned about your stay. If I have to put anything adverse comments, its minor..... the gym is small, but theres one inside and outside (but only idiots like me work out on vacation); room safe had no instructions (but they came and programmed it for me); shower didn't have a shelf for amenities (but they came and installed it immediately)... did I mention the staff was attentive? lol. So there's really nothing at all to complain about. Perfect place to stay and have an amazing time in Cassandra. The city center is a mere 5 minute walk away. I will stay there again, no doubt.

Amazing hotel, will definetley stay here again in the future. Staff was super friendly and always helped with answering questions and providing a great experience. Housekeeping also always kept our room clean while we were out. Buffet is very yummy too and location was amazing. 10/10 and recommend everyone to stay here.

They dont have double bad.

Exellent family hotel,pure zen,beatiful sandy beach shallow water no rocks,perfect for kids,warm water on the sea and pools,very clean,rooms are monastic style do not expect 5 star luxury,its outdated( acording to simantro meaning),bathroom good with jacuzzi bathtub,a lot of humid smell...very clean resort,affordable taverna and daily snack bar,portions are enough for 2 people.Beach and food exellent ,all stars to chef(try lamb) its perfect,from all salads to meat to cakes and other pastries.This resort is not for adults only,families with little kids all around, beach towels available for tokens that you deposit when check in,no entertaiment at all but I did not care after all day on beach and sun,nothing near by to go out i love the isolation from all,I will definately come back again,all recomadations.

Ok stay, but some details did not match a 5-star luxury suite experience Overall, our stay was okay, and there were some very positive aspects. The service at the outdoor restaurant was great, and the spa service was exceptional. That said, considering this is a 5-star hotel and the Pomegranate Suite is presented as a luxury/high-end room, there were several details that could be improved. We had just spent a week at Sani Dunes, and the contrast was noticeable. A small touch such as fresh flowers, which is usually expected in this type of room, was missing. The QR code for ordering food from the room did not work and showed a “page not found” error. Some areas of the room also felt outdated, with a few items appearing broken, rusty, or worn. The bedroom could also benefit from modernization, especially as there was nowhere convenient to charge a phone. In addition, there appeared to be a water leak under one of the bathroom sinks, as we found a wet towel with a stain on it. The hotel has strong potential, and some areas provide excellent service, especially the spa. However, in other areas, the service felt less warm and not as service-oriented as expected for a hotel of this level.
