The room was very clean, Breakfast was not great! There was very little choice, this was the 3rd hotel that I had stayed in during my trip and the worst Breakfast..you had to ask the member if staff for more coffee and it felt like you were imposing on them. The hotel itself is lovely but the area is very rough. Every cafe I went into advised me to put my bag in front of me and look out for pick pockets.

The check-in process was completely lacking. I stood outside for over an hour emailing calling and trying to get lit in the door. It says the front office is open, but you have to know how to get in the door. Apparently you have to use the keypad and click on one of the options that was available. But nowhere was that in the directions and the phone number to call the reception area was not taking phone calls and no one ever responded to my emails so I spent almost 2 hours standing outside until other people came along and let me in. Absolutely ridiculous!

Beautiful and quiet location, parking (very important if you have a rental), friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is in the best spot to reach in both directions: to Amalfi on one side, or to Positano and Sorrento on the other side. There is a buss station steps from the hotel entrance and few really good restaurants close by. We will chose it again when we travel this way!

Second time staying at the Hotel Plaza, and it was lovely both times. This time it was summer and the rooftop pool was open - not to be missed. Posted a photo from the pool and learned that my downstairs neighbors had stayed at the Hotel Plaza not even 2 months earlier, and they loved it too! Central location is amazing, right in the heart of everything. (Don’t miss the 6th generation woodworking shop just down the street toward the main thoroughfare.) Lovely staff, lovely accommodations.
