Loved this place! The view from the balcony was amazing, and the beach was just down the street. The staff was very friendly, and the property was clean and safe, with access restricted to key card holders. We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return.

We enjoyed having a two room suite separated by a living room for our family of five. The layout was ideal. They had a breakfast buffet each morning and a pool for the kids which was a plus. They also had daily free evening drinks at the bar. Oddly it was hard to get bottled water after our initial check in. 3 dollars for tiny bottles were available at vending machines, but a minor issue overall. Not super modern but well maintained and looked nice overall.

Halekulani is, without question, one of the most special places I’ve ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, we were met with a level of service that felt warm, personal, and truly refined. Everyone we encountered went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and cared for, with an ease and professionalism that never felt forced. Our room was peaceful and beautifully appointed, with a lanai that offered sweeping ocean views and the kind of stillness that instantly puts you at ease. The attention to detail—from the crisp linens to the fresh flowers—was impeccable. The pool area is simply stunning, and it’s clear the hotel is maintained with a great deal of pride and care. The overall atmosphere throughout the property is serene and elegant—a true escape from the bustle of Waikiki, while still being perfectly located. This is not just a hotel, it’s an experience. If you’re looking for timeless, understated luxury and genuine hospitality, Halekulani delivers in every way. We left feeling deeply rested and already dreaming about our return.

its wonderful there access to public transportation

We loved that we could walk to the beach, restaurants and to tour bus pick up locations. We felt safe walking in the area. The hotel was clean. The breakfast buffet was good. The only downside was the size of our shower. I could not shave my legs in the shower, because it was so small. I don’t know if all their bathrooms have small showers or if it was just our room, but we would definitely stay here again.
