Awesome hotel in the heart of the Old Town. A historic cinema still operates in the basement and first floors, and our son loved the popcorn machine outside the theater. Our room (superior double) was nice and large with an updated bathroom and plenty of space for 2 adults and a child. The staff were all very friendly and helpful in providing directions, making reservations, etc. Our son loved his cute present for reading the Leo book provided at check-in. A grocery store and numerous restaurants are just steps away. The funicular is about a 10-minute walk, as are most parts of the old town, and the new town is also about a 10-minute walk across the Mozart Bridge. The perfect spot to stay when visiting Salzburg!

On arrival it was hard to find anyone at reception, and when a staff member finally appeared, checking in was bit meehh. When I asked about street parking, she kept repeating that the hotel parking costs €20 per night — even though there were no spaces — and it took a lot of effort to get the simple information that street parking is free until 7 a.m. Despite being local, she kept saying she didn’t know and “I just work here,” which was pretty unhelpful. The room is quite spacious, but the cleanliness is a bit questionable.

Excellent hotel! We loved it. We traveled with our two kids. Great check-in, super clean and 4-star room. Breakfast was excellent and wide-ranging. We had dinner in their roof top restaurant and it was a great, higher-end experience, definitely one of the better dinners we had on the trip. Hotel is about a 5-7 min walk from the main train station, very easy to get to. Highly recommend. Takes about 10-15 min walk to get to Salzburg’s Alstadt, the old city center. Bonus: I left a shirt in our hotel room and it was returned to the front desk by the cleaning staff so I was able to come back a few days later to retrieve it (thank you!).

So we stayed as a family of four, over all the hotel was good but the issue I have is that based on the higher price, I was expecting the room to be a decent size but it was too cramped, now walking space around the beds specially after you put luggage on the limited space. The staff is not very friendly or welcoming.

I did not take advantage of the spa. Not my thing. However, the whole hotel is relaxing and rejuvenating! My room was so awesome. Me, a balcony overlooking the lake, a glass of wine and a book...that's my spa. The staff was so helpful...even booked me a reservation at a nearby restaurant because I missed the hotel restaurant times.
