The room has definitely seen better days. There were rips in the carpet, stains on the sheets, stains on the chair and the bathroom could have used a deep clean. Bathroom mirror was actually scary. All service was outstanding with the exception of the front desk.

Great gym, beautiful lobby, nice bell service. Staff was a little rude when informing us that no outside food may be consumed in the lobby. For the price we pay for the hotel stay, we would have expected a more courteous approach.

The STAFF are what truly sets the Plaza apart. Always helpful, humorous and posh without being stuffy, the staff truly are the soul of the institution.

I came to Brooklyn to attend a concert for my BDay. I was pleasantly surprised to know that the staff was friendly, accommodating and professional. You never know what you're going to get with NY energy... Also, the cleaning staff was awesome; I ended up leaving them a little tip! My room was cleaned daily not like some other major chains. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here @ NU and would recommend it to anyone.

Very clean hotel room and friendly, helpful staff. Having breakfast readily available every morning was wonderful. We are so glad we stayed with the Riu Times Square for our first time in New York City!
