A great staff, very helpful

We booked this hotel for a one-night stay because of its convenient location near the Spanish Embassy, but it far exceeded our expectations. The staff was attentive, and our corner room comfortably accommodated four adults without feeling cramped. We enjoyed the nice views, modern décor, and high-quality beds, linens, pillows, and towels.  Our only minor complaint was that the rain shower pressure was a bit weak. However, the highlight of our stay was dinner at the hotel restaurant, a.kitchen+bar, which offered exceptional food and value from a James Beard Award-winning restaurant. As hotel guests, we received 10% off our meal plus an additional $42 Expedia credit. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Washington, DC.

Beautiful, very large and welcoming hotel. Well located, with lovely facilities. Very good and supportive mattress -- I slept really well on it. I took a fun and well-taught water aerobics class, offered free to guests. I would stay there again. However, I will note that the too-small elevators caused wait times that became inconvenient. The pool needs more umbrellas and shade! And the valet parking costs were really too high, especially since the parking is right there on the grounds. Also, our room was so large that it really needed a bit more furniture in it. It seemed spare and only had one chair so my husband and I couldn't sit together while reading the paper or just to converse.

Stayed for a cheer competition did the job and was a clean hotel and a newer establishment .
